CO-KS Contest and Colorado State Championships Cancelled

It is with great regret but with the best interest of athletes, parents, coaches, judges families and other twirling supporters that we announce the cancellation of the CO-KS Contest on April 4 in Goodland and the Colorado State Championships on May 17 in Denver. We have not deposited any of the checks for the CO/KS contests, so they will be shredded. State entries had not yet been distributed.

This decision was due in part to school districts cancelling facility rentals for the rest of the year, as well as guidance from local, state and federal governments and public health agencies.

We will keep you informed of the status of the Central Region Championships, still scheduled for June 12-14 in Enid, Oklahoma, and the 2020 U.S. National Championships and Festival of the Future, scheduled for July 14-18 in Stockton, California.

In the meantime, please stay healthy and #KeepTwirling! Here are some resources for twirlers, parents and coaches:

These videos as well as videos from many-time Grand National Champion Karrissa Wimberly, breaking the WBTD routine down into sets of 8, have been shared on the Colorado Baton Council Facebook page.

Finally, if you are on social media, join the #ApartButTogether movement, and post a photo like this to show that the twirling world that we stand together, ever while we are apart.
